Celebrating our 25thanniversary this year, the Institute offers affordable, accessible, high-quality arts experiences with Master Teaching Artists that are committed to excellence and focused on one thing: the advancement of our youth.We hope you will join us to mark this important milestone and celebrate our many accomplishments. 

The event will honor longtime President of the Board, Betty Prezzy Bryant, whose vision has impacted thousands of local children and families.

From October to January, the Institute is a featured non-profit organization of The Jersey Give-Back Guide, a seasonal project led by the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, produced in partnership with the Victoria Foundation, the Community Foundation of New Jersey, and the Council of New Jersey Grantmakers. Through an online giving platform called the Generosity Generator, the Institute raises funds for capital projects, program development and scholarships to further its mission.

Hearts for the Arts
Spend your Valentine’s Day eating pancakes with us
A Pancake Breakfast fundraiser held at the Institute in during Valentine’s Day weekend that leaves the whole family wanting more! The fundraiser features a full buffet breakfast and entertainment provided by students from the Institute. All proceeds benefit the HARMONY Scholarship Fund.

June
Spring Fling – 5K Walk and Festival
A fun- filled day for all to support equal access to the ARTS
The Spring Fling is a family fun-filled day held in the beginning of June. It begins with a 5k Walk and ends with a large Music and Games Festival. The day serves as an opportunity to raise funds to benefit initiatives such as the HARMONY Scholarship Fund, which provides financial assistance for families to attend arts classes at the Institute and The Youth Leadership Institute, a training and employment program for teens. Walk individually, bring the family or build a team all in the name of equal access to Arts Education!

The event also includes the following activities throughout the day:

Giant Flea Market with over 50 vendors.
Music featuring a live DJ and professional musicians.
Snacks, Facepainting, Boardwalk Games and MORE!

August
Summer Production
Witness the Institute’s largest performance of the year
The Summer Arts Institute, our cornerstone 5-week intensive arts program culminates in a large-scale original production written and directed by Institute Executive Director, Alysia Souder. The final performance brings together 140 students in teams of actors, dancers, singers, actors, visual artists and musicians to mount a completely unique and not-to-be-missed large-scale production.

Holiday Party
The Holiday Party is pot-luck style social gathering that brings Institute families together at the end-of-the-year to celebrate culture, family and the Arts.

Year-Round
Trips and Outings
The Institute supports NJ’s rich arts community and encourages families to enjoy live arts events by sponsoring regular trips to hear the symphony, or see a dance company perform or watch a play. Free and discounted tickets are provided to member families.
